Jan and I were spending a couple of weeks camping in the north Georgia mountains and I was able to take one day and spend with Royce Whiddon. Royce has attended out club's Deep South Treasure Hunt for a number of years. He carried me to some of his hunt sponts near his home and we had a nice day. In the first field he found a 3-ringer Minne ball and buffalo nickel and I got an Indian head penny. Later at a construction site in town we picked up a few coins. And at the end of the day we were in another field where I picked up a chewed (maybe by the cows) enfield bullet and a button back from the Civil War period (probably). Thanks Royce!
